The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, as the official winner of the February 23 presidential election held in Enugu state.
This result makes Atiku close the winning gap with a mighty 300,000 advantage in Enugu.
Legit.ng gathers from the official announcement made by the commission that Atiku won a total number of 355,553 while President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored a vote of 54,423 out of valid votes of 421,014.

APC - 54,423 - 12.93%
PDP - 355,553 - 84.45%

Also, note that this is the first state lost by the APC (below 25% threshold).
The gap between the two major candidates in the election is now 453,952 votes.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the electoral commission declared the candidate of the APC, President Buhari, as the official winner of the February 23 presidential election held in Yobe state.
Legit.ng also gathered from the official announcement made by the commission that Buhari won a total number of 497,914 out of total valid votes of 559,365.
