The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has defeated President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Saturday, February 23 presidential election, held in Ebonyi state.
Legit.ng reports that the total valid votes were 359,131, according to the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Monday evening, February 25.
Abubakar polled 258,573, while the incumbent President Buhari managed to score 90,726.
President Buhari has a 25% support in Ebonyi state as Atiku closed the gap but is still 286,105 votes behind after INEC announced results in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the INEC declared the candidate of the APC, President Buhari, as the official winner of the February 23 presidential election held in Yobe state.
It was reported that the official announcement made by the commission revealed that Buhari won a total number of 497,914 out of total valid votes of 559,365.
