Breaking: Atiku defeats Buhari in Abia state
Former vice president and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has defeated President Muhammadu Buhari and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, in Saturday, February 23 presidential election, held in Abia state.
Legit.ng reports that the total valid votes were 323,291 and Atiku Abubakar polled 219,698, while President Buhari secured 85,058.

It was gathered that although Buhari lost Abia state, he scored 26.32 percent, above the 25% threshold.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared winner of the presidential election held on Saturday, February, 23, in Gombe state.
The total valid votes were: 554,203 and President Muhammadu Buhari polled: 402,961 while his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the People Democratic Party (PDP) scored: 138,484.
