John Obi Mikel says he is privileged to have young Middlesbrough fans chant his name after their 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers in the English Championship on Saturday.
The Super Eagles captain was again instrumental as Boro brightened their chances in finishing in the top six finish to earn them a play-off spot for promotion into the English topflight next campaign.
Mikel was in the thick of the action for all 90 minutes as strikes from Jonny Howson and Ashley Fletcher handed Middlesbrough all maximum points.
Reacting after the game, Mikel, who was named in the Championship team of the upper week took to his official Instagram account to upload a video of the young fans and a short thank you message for the unflinching support so far.

Interestingly, the latest win puts ‘Boro on 57 points from 33 matches, including 19 wins, 7 draw and 7 losses to remain on 5th on the 24 team log.
Middlesbrough will continue their push for an automatic promotion spot with a visit to Wigan Athletic on March 2.
