For many families in this part of the world, the popular bible verse Proverbs 13:24 that says parents should spare the rod and spoil the child, is not farfetched when they want to discipline erring child.
A social media user identified as @realesttobi recently took to the Twitter platform to share a video post which is setting the online community abuzz.
In the video, the user had hanged a little boy, he identified as his cousin, on the railings of a curtain, all in a bid to punish the youngster.
He continued recording the video even when the little boy was crying at the top of his voice and appeared to be obviously scared from the extreme punishment he was being made to go through.
The user had posted saying: "This my cousin was making noise I just had to hang him. Am I wicked?"

His followers had instantly taken under his post to express their reactions at the risk he had made the boy go through. Some of them found the video hilarious and cheered him on.

However, there were others that expressed their reservations.
He, however, was quick to defend himself in the comment section as he had insisted that his actions could not be likened to child abuse since he did not hurt the child.
