Atiku floors Buhari at Fayose's polling unit

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, got the highest votes at Unit 001, St David Primary School, Afao Ekiti, Ekiti state, which was here former governor Ayodele Fayose cast his vote.

Atiku polled 225 votes at the polling unit while President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 82 votes.

The PDP presidential candidate, however, lost his own polling unit to President Buhari.

Jubilation broke out following the announcement that President Buhari scored 186 votes to defeat Atiku at the former president own polling unit.

However, supporters of Atiku claimed Atiku put up a remarkable showing despite losing to President Buhari, adding that the president has always won in the polling unit in nearly all previous elections.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari defeated Atiku Abaubakar at the polling unit of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state, on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

While the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured 87 votes in the presidential election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got just 18 votes.
