Atiku beats Buhari in Saraki's polling unit as senate president soars

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has defeated his opponent President Muhammadu Buhari in the polling unit of the senate president Bukola Saraki in Kwara state.

Daily Trust reports that Atiku garnered 219 votes while President Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 68 votes.

In the senatorial polls, Saraki scored 269 votes to defeat the APC which polled 60 votes while PDP also recorded victory in the House of Reps election with 253 votes to APC’s 53 votes.

Meanwhile, Atiku defeated President Buhari at the polling unit of Peter Obi, the opposition party's vice presidential candidate.

Legit.ng correspondents on ground in Umudiakasi Square polling unit in Agulu, Anaocha local government area of Anambra state report that PDP polled 258 votes against the ruling party's paltry one as the All Progressives Congress Alliance (APGA) got four votes, three more than Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC).

Also, Legit.ng reported that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) lost to the PDP in the presidential election at the polling unit of its governorship candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to field reports that reached Legit.ng on Saturday, February 23 afternoon after the completion of collation of at the Femi Okunnu polling unit, Lateef Jakande, Ikoyi, the PDP defeated APC by 52 to 48 votes.
