President Muhammadu Buhari has emerged as the winner of the Benue government house polling unit, in Makurdi as the collation for the February 23 Presidential election results begins.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) got 125 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 122 votes at the polling unit.
The Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, decamped from the APC to PDP in 2018.
Legit.ng earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari defeated PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abaubakar, at the polling unit of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state, on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

While the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured 87 votes in the presidential election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got just 18 votes.
Also, reports reaching Legit.ng revealed that President Buhari won his polling unit, PU003 at Sarkin Yara ward A, in Daura local government of Katsina state.
Meanwhile, Governor Samuel Ortom earlier today, accused security agencies of conniving with the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue to intimidate voters at polling centres in the state.

The governor, who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2018, said he was at this polling station this morning when he was informed that the state agent of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) was arrested at about 5:30 a.m. on excuse that he was training thugs.
