With election still ongoing in some parts of the country, emerging report claimed that it was a pandemonium in the community of South Ibie and Anwai both in Etsako local government area of Edo as thugs reportedly carted away the ballot boxes.
Reacting to the incidents, Tribune reports that the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo, Chief Dan Orbih, said he was disappointed because the ballot boxes were stolen in the presence of security operatives.
He, however, said the issue would be reported to the Independent Electoral Commission and necessary authorities for action.
Legit.ng gathers that apart from Etsako, there were reports of mass violence and intimidation in Atte, Akoko Edo local government area in Edo north senatorial district.
Orrbih said: "What happened to the shoot- at- sight order by the president? Why were they not shot? We are going to take it up with the relevant authorities. We won’t allow this to go unchallenged.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that some ballot boxes at polling unit 18 located at junction of Ohafia/Ago Palace Way, Okota in Oshodi/Isolo LGA of Lagos state had been set on fire.
News correspondent who witnessed the incident reported that polling unit 23 located on Baba-Ewe Street/Ago Place Way was also affected by the fire.
