The Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will accept defeat any outcome of Saturday’s elections.
The governor made this known at his Waziri wward polling unit immediately after voting, The Nation reports.

He, however, expressed optimism at the turnout of voters and the way the electoral exercise was bring conducted.
He said: “It is an indication of readiness that Nigerians are always willing to exercise their franchise in choosing who leads them. We are hoping to have a good election.”
“I am also satisfied with the security arrangement as there has not been any report of breach of security so far.”
It should be noted that Governor Tambuwal is also seeking a re-election in his state.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that as residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers state prepare to vote in the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly elections holding on Saturday, February 23, dynamite explosions have been heard in several parts of the state capital.
Areas affected include Rumuola and Diobu in the state capital.
It was also reported that Abonnema in Asari Toru local government area, the locality of Tonye Cole, All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state was affected.
