On Friday, February 22, popular American singer, Robert Kelly, known as R. Kelly has been charged with ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The singer was reportedly charged in Chicago, United States.
The popular R&B singer is expected in court in Chicago, his place of residence, on Friday, March 8, 2019.
However, R. Kelly's lawyer, Steven Greenberg, in an interview with The Chicago Sun-Times said he had not been notified of the charges against his client. He also noted that his client maintains that he has not engaged in any of the allegations against him.
According to New York Times, aside from women who had claimed that the singer had sexually abused them, two other women had on Thursday, February 21, come forward to accuse the singer.
The women, 40-year-old Latresa Scaff and 39-year-old Rochelle Washington, had claimed to have met R. Kelly after a concert in the mid-1990s when they were just teenagers.

They accused the R&B singer of asking them for a threesome and he had allegedly had sex with 40-year-old Scaff when she was just 16 years old.
R.Kelly who had never been convicted of any crime has been accused of sexual abuse against women and underage girls for over two decades. He has also denied all allegations against him.
The 52-year-old was the subject of a documentary titled Surviving R. Kelly. The documentary which premiered in New York last year December had featured women who accused the singer of abusing them both sexually and physically.
