- Arsenal vs BATE Borisov's Europa League tie ensured the Premier League side progress to the next round of the competition
- Despite losing the reverse fixture by a lone goal, the Gunners secured a 3-0 win to reach the next stage
- a goal each from Mustafi and Papastathopoulos with an own goal from Zakhar Volkov handed the north Londoners the victory
Premier League giants Arsenal have qualified for the round of 16 of this season's Europa League championship after beating BATE Borisov 3-0 on Thursday night at the Emirates stadium.
BATE Borisov went into this game with high morale after beating the Gunners 1-0 in the first leg in Belarus, and their hope was to get a decent result in the second leg.
Arsenal started the match with massive attack looking for an early goal, and it took the Gunners only four minutes to find the back of net through an own goal by Zakhar Volkov.
The visitors then changed their style of play after conceding the first goal at the Emirates stadium, but they conceded another one before the end of the first half.
Shkodran Mustafi doubled the Gunners' lead barely six minutes to the end first 45 minutes of the game with the hosts at advantage heading into the tunnel.
Having lost the reverse fixture by a lone goal in Belarus earlier this month, Unai Emery's men put up an impressive display to overturn the result.
As Sokratis Papastathopoulos powered in a third goal for the north Londoners on the hour mark to seal their progress to the next stage of the championship.

Arsenal will now shift their attention to their Premier League clash against Southampton at Emirates Stadium this weekend.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Mesut Ozil has not found it rosy under new manager Unai Emery despite being a regular member of Arsene Wenger's starting line-up following his move from Real Madrid.
The Arsenal play-maker has played just 102 minutes of first-team football since the turn of the year, with Emery often dropping him to the bench.
