It is a common saying that no publicity is bad publicity. However, it is surprising to see that people can go to great lengths just to get others talking.

Homosexuality is somewhat a strange sexual orientation and many men or women who have identified as being non-heterosexual sometimes face attacks from people. Perhaps this is why a number of individuals are emphatic to their plight.

In January 2019, news filtered out that African-American actor, Jussie Smollett, was a victim of a homophobic and racist attack in Chicago.

The Empire star had reportedly been attacked by two men who blurted racist and homophobic slurs at him as they also put a rope around his neck and poured bleach on him.

However, there have been reports that the actor might have staged the attack with the help of two brothers.

Two Nigerian brothers, Abimbola ‘Abel’ and Olabinjo ‘Ola’ Osundairo, were arrested and later released in connection to the attack. It was reported that they might have been paid by the actor to accost and attack him.

Even though the brothers were released with no charge, a new video has emerged showing them buying items that might have been used in the attack.

They were spotted buying a red hat and ski masks from a store.

This is interesting. However, Jussie Smollett has been charged with felony for allegedly staging the attack. Time will tell if he is guilty or not.

Meanwhile Legit.ng previously reported that the actor denied paying the two brothers to stage the attack. He further revealed through his lawyers that he is now being victimised over the allegations.
