Legendary English goalkeeper David Seaman has claimed that his former manager at Arsenal Arsene Wenger will be a perfect replacement for Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.

Although current Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has not been fired at Stamford Bridge, but there have been reports that the Blues' board would show him the exit doors.

Recently, Chelsea have not been impressive under Maurizio Sarri in all competitions, and this situation has put the Italian under serious pressure.

Since Arsene Wenger left Premier League side Arsenal after 22 years, the Frenchman has been out of job, but recently admitted that he would soon return to management.

David Seaman has now sent a strong message to Chelsea board saying that Arsene Wenger would be an ideal man for the London club.

''Arsene always said he wouldn't come back to the Premier League because of his love for Arsenal, that he wouldn't feel right competing against Arsenal.

''But obviously time's a healer and he could think, I want to go back there and prove a few people wrong.

''It looks like there could be a vacancy at Chelsea quite soon, depending on their next three games which are three big games for Chelsea.

''He'd be great there, I think. He'd be great anywhere, he's a fantastic manager. I would love to see him back, but I don't think it would happen,'' he told talkSPORT.

Earlier, had reported how Chelsea chiefs have reportedly made up their minds to show embattled manager Maurizio Sarri the exit doors if the Blues lose the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
