One week ago, Fred Kumbe was limping into dejection and had put up his kidney for sale to get money for buying an artificial limb.
Currently, the part time barber who lost his right lower limb after a wall fell on him in a construction site in 2016 is learning the ropes of using a prosthetic leg thanks to a story by TUKO.co.ke.

Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke on Tuesday, Friday 19, 2019, Kumbe could not hide his joy as he revealed that a barbershop owner in Thika had purchased for him a prosthetic leg after he read about his plight.
He said the barbershop owner who sought anonymity bought him the artificial limb he had sought for many years reviving his hope in life.
"Thank you for publishing the story highlighting my plight. I have been bought an artificial leg and now I have began walking again," he said.
Kumbe who said he was struggling to make ends meet by working in barbershops on commission payment plan earning less than KSh300 (N1,083) per day explained that he could now comfortably stand while shaving clients.
The father of two said he was slowly abandoning crutches which made it difficult for him to walk or stand while working.
"A well wisher whom I sometimes worked in his shop never knew my story and contacted me with the offer which has revived my hope. I am hoping I will get money to enroll to Thika Technical Institute and pursue electrical installation course," he said.
He narrated that his desire was to pursue the course and become a certified electrical technician since he had a penchant for installation assignments while working in construction sites before the unfortunate incident which led to the amputation of his leg.
This is wonderful news. Cheers to him.
Meanwhile Legit.ng previously reported that a young politician recently caused a stir on social media after he put up his kidney and testicles for sale.
A 27-year-old former politician, Ian-Harriel Kowiti, has put up his kidney for sale at KSh 1.5 million (N5,410,741) for any local client while a customer from outside Kenya will have to pay three times the amount, KSh 4.5 million (N16,232,222).
In a Facebook post, the politician said he was also ready to part with one of his testicles at KSh 500,000 (N1,803,580) for any willing client.
"Why should I have two of them (testicles) dangling between my legs when I can comfortably survive with one of them and do the job normally?" posed Kowiti during an interview with Radio Maisha.
