Manchester United have been hit with a severe blow as Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial have suffered injuries and will be out of action for the next three weeks.

These two players suffered the injuries in Manchester United's shocking 2-0 Champions League home defeat against French club Paris-Saint-Germain.

Anthony Martial lasted just the first half against Paris Saint-Germain being going off injured in the tough Champions League duel.

United however paid for their absence in the second half as the duo of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku were unable to save the Red Devils from a defeat.

Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are now expected to be out of Manchester United next game against Chelsea in the FA Cup and also the clash against Liverpool according to UK Sun.

“There is a chance now for anyone who plays, whether Alexis, Romelu, Chongy or Angel.

“Anthony and Jesse have done really well for us, they're vital but then again with Rom and Alexis, they've got different skill sets and will be able to show what they can do.

“So we need to gel a team together for Monday,'' Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explained.

Manchester United are currently occupying fourth position on the Premier League standings with 51 points after 26 games.
