- A man stumbled on a physically challenged vulcanizer who was eloquent in political matters
- This man with an amputated hand revealed that he was going to close shop to cast votes for his choice candidates
- His intention has challenged as many people who have heard his story
A Nigerian man identified as Okeme Arome Romey on Facebook took to sharing his experience with a physically challenged man. According to him, he had gone to the shop of the delimbed man to have his tyres gauged.
Upon seeing the way the lame man sprightly attended to him without showing any sign of weakness or tiredness, Romey was inspired and enthused to discuss with him.
During the course of getting the work done, Romey engaged the man in political talks. The man was so fluent, calculated and eloquent in his discussion about his preferred candidates.
Also, at the point of duty, the vulcanizer revealed that he intended to close up his shop so he cast his votes. He did not want anything to disturb him from making his own votes count.
Inspired by this, Okeme Romey went ahead to post a brief of his discussion with the vulcaniser on Facebook. See the post below:
"This vulcanizer has his shop just opposite Afims hotel on okengwe/obeiba road in Okene. He is handicapped physically but his mind is by no means incapacitated. I had just brought my car to his workplace to have my tyres gauged. He quickly and adeptly got down to business. His actions almost didn't show any form of incapacity and I was marveled.
"I took the opportunity to talk a little about Natasha and before I could start, he had summarily told me everything he knew about her and her achievements both past and present. He then iterated his support for her and emphasized that he would close down his shop until he has performed his civic responsibility..."
The vow of the physically challenged man has emitted a lot of responses from people on Facebook. Quite a lot of people supported the assertion of the man with an amputated hand. See some of the reactions below:
