President Muhammadu Buhari has said having embarked on campaign tours across the country, those saying he lacks the stamina to govern Nigeria for another four year-tenure should find else something to say.
The Cable reports that in a brief interview with CNN, Buhari suggested that he shown his critics that he has the stamina to govern Nigeria for another term in office.
“Well, I have done it, so they can give you another answer," Buhari told the CNN when asked about those who said he does not have the stamina to go round all the states for the campaign.
Some Nigerians had expressed concerns that Buhari might not be fit enough to govern Nigeria following several medical vacations the president embarked on in England over an undisclosed ailment.
But Buhari has since recovered and has played down the concerns about his state of health. He has stated that he is fit to govern Nigeria till 2023.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said there is hardly any public officer in Nigeria who has not been accused of corruption.
Atiku made the statement when replying to a question from a CNN correspondent about the corruption allegations against, The Cable reports.
The former vice president stated that the corruption allegations against him have not stood the test of time.
