Social media is currently abuzz with several posts in celebration of February 14, a special day set aside to celebrate the Valentine’s Day. Many have now taken to the Twitter platform to declare a popular politician as their val.
The common tradition for celebrating the special day is by choosing to go out on a date with a loved one or find some other romantic way to spend time together. The person could be a friend, family or a lover.
In an uncommon twist of event, social media users have come out to declare the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, as their val date.
The politician is currently among the trending topics on the micro-blogging platform with many sharing his photos and reaffirming their support for him in the forthcoming general elections.
The special hashtag #Atikumyval currently has more than six thousand people tweeting about it.
