Neymar was unfit to play active role in Tuesday’s night Champions League clash between hosts Manchester United and PSG as he was recuperating from a fractured metatarsal but he followed proceedings back home on TV in Paris.
According to Metro, the Brazilian, who will not also play active role in the reverse fixture on March 6, was excited after Presnel Kimpembe netted PSG’s opener in the 53rd minute, went wild in celebration after French World Cup star Kylian Mbappe added PSG’s second goal of the night after seven minutes.
Interestingly, the Brazilian had no other choice, but to reenact Frenchman’s popular goal celebration.
Speaking moments’ after the game, Mbappe revealed that PSG will miss the pair of Neymar and Edinson Cavani for the reverse fixture against Man United in Paris, but remains upbeat that the French champions will hold their own against the Red Devils in matchday.

“We need to stop with the scare stories. People need to stop being afraid,’ said the striker.
“We showed that tonight. We’re good.
“Of course Neymar is hugely important and Cavani is fundamental to us, but football is played on the pitch and we showed that today.
“French football must go as far as possible in the European Cup. People must support us – we will support Lyon [against Barcelona] next week.
“We are happy, but it’s only half-time in the tie and we need to continue preparing well, because I think in the last 20 minutes we dropped off a bit physically,” Mbappe added.
