Paul Pogba has been slammed by football fans for the red card he got in Manchester United's defeat against French club Paris-Saint-Germain at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The 2018 World Cup winner has now been suspended for the second leg of the round of 16 Champions League encounter against PSG in Paris.

Pogba was first booked in the 26th minute when he challenged Marco Verratti as the first half of the game ended goalless.

Presnel Kimpembe punished some slack defending at a corner before Kylian Mbappe raced clear on the hour mark to double the advantage.

Things turned sour for Manchester United fans when Pogba received his second yellow card towards the end of the game after a bad tackle against Dani Alves.

Manchester United's defeat against Paris-Sain-Germain will also be the first loss of interim coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since he replaced Mourinho.

Fans have now taken to social media to attack Pogba for the red card he got against PSG.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are doing well in the Premier League and currently occupying fourth position on the standings with 51 points.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how two second half goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe were all Paris Saint Germain needed to overcome Manchester United in the first leg of their Champions round of 16 tie at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils came into this match on the back of their eleven match unbeaten run in all competition but their hope to stretch the figure to 12 collapsed in front of their home fans.

It was an end to end game in the first half as both sides failed to find the back of the net before Italian referee Presnel Kimpembe signaled the end of the stanza.
