- Frank Lampard has stated clearly that he is not interested in replacing Sarri at Chelsea
- Sarri has been under fire since the defeat at Manchester City and Lampard has been linked with a return
- But the Englishman says he is committed to stay with his Championship club Derby County
Frank Lampard has distanced himself as the candidate to replace embattled Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri after being picked by the Blues' fans.
Maurizio Sarri is currently under fire at Stamford Bridge after defeat against Manchester City which threw Chelsea out of the top four teams in the Premier League.
There have been speculations that the Blues' board are planning to sack Maurizio Sarri soon with club's legend Frank Lampard said to be the favorite.
And while admitting that Chelsea's results have been shocking, the Englishman added that he is committed to Championship club Derby County.
"It's certainly a club I respect and a manager that I respect so it wouldn't make me smile or anything different because my job is here.
"I'm working very hard and my whole thoughts are with Ipswich Town away on Wednesday, and travelling down to Brighton in the FA Cup [fifth round] at the weekend.
"It's not nice and it doesn't happen to Chelsea much, so when it does it's a shock.
"With all top teams, the important thing is that you come back stronger, no matter what type of defeat. It is what makes top teams, resilience, and Chelsea as a club will have it,'' he said according to UK Sun.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Maurizio Sarri was slammed by angry Chelsea fans who were livid with the Blues' embarrassing defeat against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
Chelsea fans were not happy with how the club conceded four goals in the first half against the Citizens and they have however called that Maurizio Sarri should be fired.
