Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, on Monday, February 11, expressed confidence of winning the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Sanwo-Olu expressed this confidence during an interview on Channels Television’s. “I believe I can win, I know I am going to win,” he said when asked if he thinks he can win.
When asked if he signed any deal to do just one term, he said only Lagosians have the final say on that. According to him, he did not sign any deal and has no plan to go beyond one term except Lagosians re-elect him.
He said: “It is four years that is on the ballot, I am not deceiving myself. It is Lagosians that will determine that for me.
"There is certainly no deal, it is Lagosians that I have a deal with when they elect me. That is for Lagosians to determine if I’ve earned it in the first four years."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governorship candidate of the APC, promised to retire his rival, Jimi Agbaje of the PDP after the March 2 election, deepening the war of words between both men.
Sanwo-Olu made the comment in response to a statement made by Agbaje describing him as a puppet, Punch reports.
The APC candidate said he was proud of being a puppet of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national leader of the ruling party, as it means he had mastered the art and science of governance.
