Marwa remarked that retired army generals, admirals, marshals and former military governors/administrators endorsed President Buhari's re-election bid because they have faith in his administrative policy.

“The endorsements on President Buhari by all and sundry, including military officers (rtd), most of who are not politicians is based on the fact that we all want good governance”.

“He (President Buhari) is incorruptible, upright, he has integrity, he’s honest, there isn’t even a whiff of scandal around his name.”

He noted that the best kind of leader is “the leader who leads by example. A leader who says do as I do and not do as I say”. You tend to trust a person who has been in office, who has performed before,” Marwa said," Marwa said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said President Muhammadu Buhari had failed his integrity test and has no moral rectitude to pontificate on corruption, stressing that the president has entangled himself and soiled his administration in corruption.

The party's stance was contained in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Sunday, February 10 by the spokesman of the party, Kola Ologbodiyan. The PDP was reacting to President Buhari's message to Nigerians earlier warning of the danger of allowing corruption to return to the country.
