Legit.ng gathers that the royal father expressed satisfaction at the developmental projects, programmes and policies put in place in Kano and the protection of the Yorubas in the state by the Ganduje administration.

He said: “We are thanking His Excellency for showing his love and compassion to us. I am assuring you that our people will give you their unflinching support during election (sic). No doubt about this.

“My people are telling me that they need four more years for you. And I know you will do more when you get another chance.”

The monarch, while calling for a standing ovation from the Yorubas who attended the event, urged them to pray harder for Ganduje’s Four Plus Four slogan.

He added that they were glad to be associated with the governor’s effort to secure the future of women-folk via empowerment schemes.

This development follows a previous report by Legit.ng, that the Ooni of Ife likened the Yoruba deity, Oluorogbo, with Jesus Christ, drawing similarities between them.

The Ooni made the comparison in a chat with newsmen at the resuscitated Edi Annual Festival in Ile-Ife, meant to celebrate Oluorogbo, who according to mythology, ascended to heaven, after being killed by his mother, Moremi, as a sacrifice for the gods.
