- Neymar's chances of returning to Barcelona has been underplayed by the club's president Bartomeu
- The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move back to the Catalan club barely two years after leaving the club
Barcelona chief Josep Maria Bartomeu has reportedly ruled out a move for the return of Brazil star Neymar.
The attacker, who recently turned 27 years joined the Parisians in a world record fee of about £198 million in the summer of 2017.
His arrival at the Parc Des Princes has further strengthened PSG's depth in front of goal, having scored 13 goals and six assists in 13 French League matches so far this campaign.
The Brazilian won treble in his first season at the club, however, he has been regularly linked with a return to the Spanish champions according to Daily Mail.
While discountenancing the report, Bartomeu revealed he has not been in contact with Neymar, nor his agent father, with a view to a possible move.
"I have never spoken to them, nor have the father or player called me to return to Barca. They have not called,' Bartomeu told El Partidazo de COPE.

"We are preparing for next season and the name of Neymar is not on the table. We are talking about a PSG player and I do not think that PSG want to get rid of a player like him."
The Brazilian is responsible for 32 goals and 19 assists in 33 Ligue 1 appearances since he joined them in 2017, showing how prolific he can be in front of goal.
Having scored 20 goals in 23 matches in all competitions this season the former Barcelona star has been ruled out until April with a broken metatarsal.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Neymar has been ruled out of action for next ten weeks after suffering right foot injury in a round of 16 match against Strasbourg on January 23.
In an official statement released by Paris Saint-Germain, the main man will be out of action until April, which will be a huge blow to their Champions League campaign this season.
Strasbourg midfielder Moataz Zemzemi kicked the 27-year-old thrice in quick succession and it is understood it resulted into the metatarsal injury on his right foot.
