President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, February 6, arrived Makurdi airport for his presidential campaign rally in Benue state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the presidential jet conveying the president and his entourage touched down at the Makurdi airport at about 10.45am.
The president is accompanied on the trip by top party officials and a host of governors.
Buhari is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ayatse, and meet with Governor Samuel Ortom at the Government House before proceeding to the Aper Aku Stadium for the rally.
Meanwhile security around the campaign venue is tight as All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters troop to the stadium to await the president.
Earlier, Legit.ng previously reported that the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) described the recent trend of endorsement of President Buhari by reputable individuals and groups as a true reflection of the situation on the ground across the country.
The group made this known in a statement jointly signed by its chairman, Niyi Akinsiju, and secretary, Cassidy Madueke, on Tuesday, February 5, in Abuja, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
The campaign group said the endorsement came from real people whose lives were touched by the three-pronged programme of the Buhari-led administration.
It said: “Perhaps more instructive is the endorsement by the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), a group that has membership spread across the country."
