- Chelsea have released their official squad list for the rest of the season
- Van Ginkel, one of the club's forgotten player was also named in the squad
- Ginkel signed for the Blues in 2013 from Vitesse Arnhem
Marco van Ginkel, one of Chelsea's long forgotten player, has been listed in club's official squad list for the rest of the season.
Ginkel, who signed for the Blues in 2013 from feeder club, Vitesse Arnhem, is among the few players who has stayed at Stamford Bridge for long.
The 26-year-old is understood to have replaced Cesc Fabregas who sealed a January move to struggling French side, AS Monaco.
Despite staying at Stamford Bridge longer than most players, Ginkel has made just two Premier League appearances since his arrival.
The Dutchman has before had successful loan spells with AC Milan, Stoke City and PSV Eindhoven.
At PSV, he established himself as a fan favourite after spending three seasons with the Dutch side.

At the time, he helped PSV lift two Eredivisie titles, proving his worth after notching 31 goals in 64 matches.
According to a SPORTbible report, the midfielder was tipped to seal a permanent move to PSV, but suffered a career-threatening knee injury.
He is scheduled to undergo a surgery later in July as he works his way to full fitness, with the hope of breaking into Maurizio Sarri's starting line-up.
Chelsea currently sit fourth on the Premier League standings with 50 points, just two ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United.
