- Electorates in Lagos state have been asked to vote for candidates of their choice apart from President Buhari, APC presidential candidate
- According to the party factional chairman, Fouad Oki, taking Nigeria to the next level remains the best job for the team
- Oki urged the electorates to vote APC for the complete recovery of the country commonwealth
A faction of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos on Tuesday, February 5, kicked-off a door-to-door campaign for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo in the February 16 presidential election.
New Telegraph reports that the party factional chairman, Fouad Oki, said apart from President Buhari, who is the party presidential candidate, they were free to vote for candidates of their choice.
Oki said: ''To take Nigeria to the next level as they remain the best team for the job. Nigeria has been in ruins for 16 years in the hands of PDP, which is seeking a return in this general election.
''Nigerians must say no to PDP’s devilish ambition by using their votes to send the PDP to dustbin of history and vote APC for a complete recovery of Nigeria, economically, socially.
''We are organising this campaign as an independent group that is complimenting the other initiatives of the Presidential Campaign Group which is moving across the states.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the second term bid of President Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo was backed by Nigerian students under the aegis of the Buhari National Students Group (BNSG).
The group gave the endorsement via its national coordinator, Comrade Anyebe Dominic, in Abuja, on Tuesday, August 14.
The BNSG said a second term for Buhari and Osinbajo would enable them consolidate on their achievements and ensure that Nigeria is devoid of corruption.

Dominic further stated that the Buhari administration had ensured prompt payment of entitlements of university workers; thus bringing about stability in the nation's tertiary institutions.
He pointed out that the policy had reduced the occurrence of strikes, ensuring that students graduate as at when due.
