Oshiomhole, Amaechi are not happy with me - Okorocha gives reasons

- Okorocha said both chieftains of the APC are not happy with him because he refused their political control of the state
- The governor also mocked the controversial primary elections of the PDP and the APGA conducted in the state
Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha on Tuesday, February 5, revealed more about the strained relationship he has with the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomole and the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
The governor said the reason both chieftains of APC are not happy with him was because he did not allow them to control Imo state, Vanguard reports.
Okorocha also said on Tuesday, in a conversation with journalists at the government House, that both Amaechi and Oshiomole have decided to support APC government candidate in the state, Uzodimma as a last resort.
Okorocha pointed out that President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement in the state during his presidential campaign shows the collaboration better the Action Alliance (AA) and the APC.

He said: “AA and APC are in a perfect alliance to vote for AA for the governorship and APC for presidency. That point was buttressed by President Buhari because he knows the level of injustice which took place during the primaries.
“But the issue now is that the other four guber candidates plan to write the results but it will not work. Just like the one in APGA, he went to Abuja and Anambra and he was given the ticket of the APGA governorship ticket. Also the one in PDP, Abuja people gave the governorship ticket to Emeka Ihedioha.”
The Imo state governor also berated the candidates of Peoples Democratic People (PDP) and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for not following due process in their primary elections.
He said: “We all know that Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the PDP won the governorship candidate of the party in Imo state and you saw how they gave it to Ihedioha. We are tired of this Abuja people deciding who gets the governorship ticket in the various political parties especially in Imo state.
“Let me tell you, it is only Uche Nwosu that has gotten the support of the people of Imo state. That is why when the Abuja people rigged the primaries and fraudulently gave it to Hope Uzodimma, the people of Imo state moved to Action Alliance."

Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that Okorocha purportedly said he regrets backing Adams Oshiomhole to emerge as the national chairman of the APC.
The outgoing governor who is the Imo West APC senatorial candidate at a campaign in Orlu Township Stadium on Monday, February 4, was also said to have accused Oshiomhole of being among those against him politically.
