Liverpool are looking to add more fire power in their attack ahead of next season as they table a bid for Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne.
Jurgen Klopp is desperate to sign the 27-year-old pacey winger as the Reds are already making plans for reinforcements ahead of next season.
The Merseyside are three points clear on the Premier League table but the German boss is aware he must continue to improve the quality of his squad to maintain their progress.
According to Italian news media outlet La Repubblica, via Sport Witness, the Anfield giants have launched a £61million bid through his representative Mino Raiola.
It is understood that the offer has been immediately rejected by Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis who is asking for more than double of the initial offer.

Reports claim the Serie A side will only accept a £131million with Insigne's contract set to due until the summer 2022.
Insigne has scored eight times and provided five assists for Napoli this season as well as earning 30 caps for the Italian national team.
