Cesc Fabrgeas scored his first goal for Monaco as they recorded a 2-1 victory over Montpellier in a Ligue 1 match played at Stade de Louis II.
The Spanish midfielder scored the all important winner in the 62nd minute when he fired a home a shot from inside of the 18-yard box.
Russian World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin had earlier put the home side in the 15th before Christopher Jullien equalized four minutes later.
The victory gave Leonardo Jardim's side their first league win in six matches as they continue their struggle out of the relegation zone.
Though Monaco are third from the bottom with 18 points but the win put them level on points with Caen who are 17th on the table.

Jardim took over from Thierry Henry a few days back after the Frenchman could only manage two wins in Ligue 1 since his appointment as manager last October.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cesc Fabregas has reacted to the sacking of former teammate Thierry Henry at Monaco claiming that he joined the French club because of the former Arsenal striker.
Fabregas completed his move from Premier League side Chelsea on January 11 to the Ligue 1 club and Henry was sacked just two weeks later.
