Buba Galadima says Atiku will defeat Buhari 60-40% in the northwest

- Buba Galadima said Atiku will defeat Buhari 60-40% in the northwest

- The PDP spokesman also accused President Buhari of refusing to sign the electoral act because he is afraid of defeat

- The Buhari campaign spokesman, Keyamo, however, countered Galadima, saying President Buhari will beat Atiku even in his home state of Adamawa

Buba Galadima, a spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign organisation, has predicted victory for the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the northwest, saying that he will beat President Muhammadu Buhari with a margin of 60 to 40% in the region.

Speaking a guest on Channels TV programme, Politics Today on Sunday, February 3, Galadima added that Atiku will divide the votes 50 to 50 with Buhari even in Katsina, the president’s home state.

He said: “Atiku will defeat Buhari 60 to 40 on the minimum. The only place it would be 50-50 is Katsina.”

“In the southwest, I want to say with certainty, the Yoruba people respect their leaders, they will not vote from sentiments.”

He further alleged that President Buhari refused to sign the electoral act because he is afraid of defeat.

His words: “Why did the president refuse to sign the electoral act? Because they are afraid. The man forgot that the more you vote for Buhari, the more you make enemies.

“This government we have today is a government of exclusion, nepotism, bedevilled by corruption, and has no single achievement in Nigeria.”

The spokesperson for Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo (SAN) who also appeared on the programme, however, countered Galadima’s statements.

Keyamo also boasted that President Buhari will defeat the PDP presidential candidate even in his home state, that is, Adamawa.

He added that the PDP is making a mistake in its permutation that Atiku will win major votes in other regions of the country like south-south and southwest.

The Buhari campaign spokesperson also spoke on the recent endorsement of Atiku by the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze.

“There is nothing that is as fraudulent as known PDP members and sympathizers putting on the apparel of socio-political groups and endorsing their own political parties,” Keyamo said.

He also said the Yorubas, the southwest, will not vote for Atiku, but instead, vote for a candidate that has a Yoruba as his running mate.
