The Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers has announced its support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Peter Obi.
The chairman of the group, Obi of Owa Kingdom, HRM, Efeizomor Emmanuel, announced this over the weekend during the PDP campaign in Asaba, Delta state.
Vanguard reports that the king described Atiku's running mate as a son of the soil and added that residents of Delta state, being Anambra neighbours, were aware of the great leadership Obi provided when he was the governor of Anambra state.
He called on residents to come out on February 16 and vote massively for the duo.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) rubbished the endorsement of the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar by leaders of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Northern Elders Forum, Pan-Niger Delta forum, the Middle Belt Forum, and a faction of Afenifere.

In a statement made available to Legit.ng by Festus Keyamo, director, strategic communications, APC presidential campaign council, on Sunday, February 3, the ruling party alleged that the endorsement of Atiku was orchestrated by PDP sympathizers.
