Englishman Marcus Rashford scored the only goal that gave Manchester United the maximum three points at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City started the match on a good note, but they would have themselves to blame for not scoring in the 5th minute through Jamie Vardy.
Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi located the striker with a superb pass, but his effort was blocked by Eric Bailly.
Manchester United then scored their goal in the 9th minute through Marcus Rashford, and it was Frenchman Paul Pogba that played a good role in helping the Englishman to score.
Alexis Sanchez had the chance to double the lead for Manchester United five minutes later, but he was unable to beat Kasper Schmeichel who was in goal for Leicester City.
Both side played good football in the second half, but no goal was recorded as Manchester United won the match 1-0.
Manchester United are now occupying fifth position on the Premier League table, but their position could change if Arsenal should beat Manchester City at the Etihad.
