It is exciting to see that Nigerian musical acts are breaking boundaries by putting African music on the global map. Even more commendable is the fact that they are getting their long due recognition for their hard work and talent.
Just a few months after it was announced that Nigeria’s own, Seun Kuti, son of late Afro-beats legend, Fela Kuti, was nominated in the World Best Music Album category of the 2019 edition of the Grammy awards, the singer has now been billed to perform on the stage of the international award show.
The musician who has proven beyond doubts that he is a true son of his father, will be gracing the stage along side some other international acts all billed to thrill the audience at the prestigious event.
In a tweet from the official handle of the award organisers, Kuti was mentioned alongside Craig Morris, Fatou Diawara, Sofi Tukker, Angela Aguilar and a host of others.
The academy tweeted saying: "Don't miss this year's GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony performances, including @snatamk, @craig_morris, @sofitukker, @RealSeunKuti + @FatouDiawara, and @AngelaAguilar__, @AidaCuevas + Natalia @Lafourcade. Stream it live Feb. 10 from 12:30–3:30 p.m. PT."

It would be recalled that another son of the late singer and elder brother to Seun, Femi Kuti, has previously been nominated for the prestigious award show. Nigerians are hoping that this time around, the award will be brought home to Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously gathered the report of how Nigerians had reacted to the eclectic performance of singer, Davido, who recently held his concert at the O2 Arena in London. The Assurance crooner had given the audience a good show that was worth their money.
