A video of sellers mixing beans with a foreign substance at a market in Lagos is making waves online. An Instagram user identified as Dpearl_83 shared the clip and revealed that it occurred in Ayobo Garage market recently.
For a while now, many clips of some market sellers mixing food with all manner of substances in a bid to preserve it has caused reason to worry. It is said that some of them sell sniper-treated food and this can prove dangerous to the health of consumers who are mostly unaware that they might be digesting poison.
Just recently, three notorious Igbo brothers were arrested in Lagos after they were caught allegedly selling poisonous beans to members of the public.
With the sole aim of making maximum profit, the sellers use any means necessary to multiply the food products by mixing it with foreign substances and using insecticides to preserve the already adulterated food.
In the most recent video of such happening shared by Dpearl_83, it can be seen that the sellers are mixing beans with another substance in an attempt to increase its quantity.
The voice in the background can be heard saying: "This is the beans we are eating. See our lives outside. This is the end of the market in Ayobo Garage. This is the beans we are eating This is uncalled for, look at the beans we are eating. Devil is a liar."
