- The council says President Buhari's victory in the election is a task that must be achieved
The secretary of the National Youth Campaign Committee of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APCPCC) has urged Kwara youths to support the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Folayan said this in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, January 31, that the re-election of Buhari is tied to the liberation of the people of Kwara from a political dynasty, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
Legit.ng gathers that he added that the victory of Buhari and the APC in the February 16 election is a task that must be achieved.
Folayan, who also doubles as the president of Kwara Youth Stakeholders Forum, said the time had come for Kwara youths to end those he termed as gang of looters who maneuvered their ways to the politics and governance of Kwara and Nigeria.
He stated that such people have continued to usurp people's power only to acquire properties abroad with public funds at the detriment of the development of the state and provision of infrastructure.
According to him, the “ò tò gè” whirlwind in Kwara state transcends the aspiration of any individual or party.
He said: ”It is a battle to free Kwara from maladministration, egocentric, selfish leadership, psychological manipulation, political and economic slavery."
He expressed confidence that the federal government would put in place every necessary arrangement to ensure that Kwara election results reflect the true will of the people.
He said his committee would work day and night with every progressive in Kwara state to achieve the desired goals.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a cross section of Nigerians in Europe on Wednesday, January 30, endorsed the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
They stated this against the backdrop of continuity in governance.
They unanimously stressed the need for a continuation in the fight against corruption which has been one of the main focus of the Buhari-led administration.
