A Nigerian lady has left many people encouraged after she took to social media to narrate how her cousin who has been unemployed for 6 years, eventually got a job on merit.
The growing rate of unemployment is no doubt alarming and a fundamental issue. While many people have resorted to crime, others still remain hopeful for a job and this story is yet another reason to remain optimistic.
A Twitter user, Iremide took to the platform to narrate how an older cousin of hers eventually got a job after 6 years of waiting.She wrote: "My eldest cousin, A graduate, been unemployed for 6years now. Was recently called for an interview in one of the d*mn straight that he doesn't have transport not to talk of...Presentable clothes that he'd have to rally round a bit."
"The HR said okay, get yourself together and she gave him a week. Three days after, She called him and asked him to please send his account details. Apparently, she informed two of her friends in the same company...About my cousin's situation and they all decided to contribute for him. Long story short, He has been employed on merit yesterday!! I'm the happiest! God is great!"

In a similar story with a different ending, a Twitter user identified as Lillian Bususu recently took to her Twitter page to narrate her experience with an unemployed youth that she had given a telephone call. According to the lady who tweeted from Johannesburg, South Africa, she placed the call through to invite the job seeker for an interview.
The young man had in turn responded by saying he was busy and asked that the interview should be rescheduled for a later date.
