Such was the case of this young promising soldier who lost his life weeks to his wedding. The ceremony was billed to hold on Friday, February 1.

The deceased was reportedly one of the eight soldiers that lost their lives in Buni Gari village, Yobe state. This unfortunate incident took place on Tuesday, December 1, when the self-styled Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) faction of the Boko Haram sect attacked the base.

He spared some time and took these Pre-wedding pictures with his heartthrob. He couldn't live to see the date. He was one of the soldiers we lost in last Buni Yadi attack by Boko Haram. We pray for the repose of his soul & those of our gallant soldiers who have paid the supreme price in the defence of their fatherland. Rest in Peace Isa.
