A Nigerian man named @markaveli_marvin on Twitter recently took to doing what is normally called an 'exposure of the fowl's beneath by strong wind'. What this essentially means is that he made a big unveiling about a particular place in Aba, Abia state.
This place which seems to be a transport park has a long, wide water body that has a 'bridge flying over it'. Hence, it is called Osisioma flyover. The 'flyover' is deemed complete and ready by whoever took the liberty to build it.
However, it is shocking to know that this supposed bridge is merely a shabbily constructed mesh of wood, red sand and stones. Although it is called a flyover, it does not look like one in the least.
What is more, to walk over this rickety bridge, passers-by are charged a toll fee. If they do not pay this 'gate fee', they are not allowed to pass through the already shabby flyover.
The Nigerian man who took pictures of the bridge and the events going on right on top of it could not help but throw in a pinch of sarcasm and mockery as he shared photos on Twitter. He was humoured by the irony in the entire situation. This influenced his caption.
See his post below:
"Osisioma flyover... Aba... Abia state completed... You go pay before you pass... If not, use under the bridge... Lmaoooo"
However, @makaveli_marvin was not the only one that was humoured by the entire situation. Many Nigerians who viewed the post also considered the Osisioma flyover a farce. However, some did not see the situation as something to be merely laughed over. They expressed their agitations at the decrepit condition of things in Abia.
