- A Nigerian lady has stirred up a debate on patriarchy online

- Identified as Miss_Abimbola on Twitter, she shared details of how her boss handled a male colleague who was out of line

Like it or not, there are still many educated men out there who think a woman position is to serve the male gender. A Twitter user identified as Miss_Abimbola recently shared details of her experience with a male colleague who showed subtly signs of patriarchy at her office.

According to her, she was the only female present at a management meeting and when it was time for refreshments, a male colleague assumed she was the one to serve and asked her to. She made it clear it was not her duty and her boss who was appalled by the man's stance asked him to do the serving for everybody.

Abimbola shared details of the incident on her Twitter page and for once, most people understood the plights of feminists who fight for gender equality all over the world. Her post immediately went viral with people having a lot to say about the male colleague who implicitly implied that a woman is always in charge of kitchen affairs.
