Abuja high court sitting at Apo, on Wednesday, January 23, approved a suit seeking to sack a member of the House of Representatives, Chukwuegbo Gregory, over an allegation leveled against him.
All Progressives Congress and Nelson Arum, lodged the complaint against the lawmaker that he does not have the first school leaving certificate, Vanguard reports.
The plaintiffs told the court that the defendant was bereft of the requisite constitutional qualifications to contest and win election into the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that a Federal Capital Territory high court sitting in Apo area of Abuja nullified the expulsion of the senator representing Ogun East senatorial district, Buruji Kashamu, by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The court in its ruling also set aside the expulsion of Ogun state chairman of the party, Adebayo Dayo.
Justice Valentine Ashi said the expulsion of the two party faithfuls was done in flagrant disobedience of a subsisting order the court made on December 7, 2017, and further restated on January 9, 2018.
The court also warned the PDP not to carry out any disciplinary action against the defendants without recourse to the pending proceeding before it.
