- Argentine football star Gonzalo Higuain has completed his move to Chelsea
- This is according to the Blues' manager Maurizio Sarri who also coached Higuain at Napoli
- The 31-year-old player is expected to be unveiled at Stamford Bridge later on Wednesday
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed the signing of Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain to give the club's fans a cheering news ahead of their next encounter.
But the 31-year-old former Napoli star will not be part of the Blues' squad that will face Tottenham on Thursday night, January 24, in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues' faithfuls can now breathe a sigh of relief after Higuain’s long-awaited Stamford Bridge switch was finally confirmed by Maurizio Sarri.
Gonzalo Higuain was spotted flying to London from Italy this morning, and he should be unveiled as Chelsea player in the coming hours.
“He is a very strong striker, especially in my first season in Naples.
“He did very well. For sure he is one of the best strikers in my career. He has the right experience to play here,'' Maurizio Sarri explained according to UK Sun.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Chelsea completed the signing of 20-year-old American football star Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund for £58 million.
But the winger who had been linked to Liverpool will be loaned back to the Bundesliga side until the end of the ongoing League season in Europe.
Chelsea have beaten a number of Premier League clubs to the signing and the winger will join Maurizio Sarri's men in the summer.
