President Muhammadu Buhari has on Wednesday, January 23, written to the Senate to confirm the nomination of some persons for appointment as ambassadors.
Those nominated by the presidency are:
- Christopher C. Chejina (Delta state)
- Bukar Kolo (Yobe state)
- M.A. Mabdul- (Benue state).
The letter requests that the Senate consider the request of Mr. President C-n-C on the confirmation of nominations of the following persons for appointment as Career Ambassadors-Designate in accordance with Section 171 (1) (c) (4) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Barrister Aliyu Bagudu Abubakar was appointed as the new director general for the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Barrister Jessica Mamven, the head, press unit of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, in a press release revealed that Abubakar on Monday, January 21, took over the mantle of leadership of the council from the acting DG, Tunde Ikusagba, who is also the council’s director, Criminal Justice.
