Senator (Nasarawa west) on Tuesday, January 22, said that his joy will only be full if President Muhammadu Buhari wins the forthcoming presidential election.
Adamu made this remark during his endorsement by Renaissance Nigeria, a group, in the Keffi area of the state, Punch reports.
The senator who is running for a third term in the Senate said: “My happiness and victory will never be complete unless President Muhammadu Buhari wins the 2019 presidential election.”
He urged members of the group to support President Buhari and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels. Adamu claimed that only the president can salvage Nigeria from poverty.
On his part, the group’s boss, Yakubu Usman, said members were committed to Adamu’s victory in the coming poll.
He said their support for Adamu was based on his past records in the areas of agriculture, education and health.
Usman said: “Renaissance Nigeria wishes to declare its total and unreserved support for you so that you can continue your good work in the red chamber.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, January 19, arrived Jos, capital of Plateau, in continuation of his nationwide presidential campaign rally on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The jet conveying the president and some members of his entourage landed at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos, at about 1.35p.m.
The president had earlier, before departing to Plateau, inaugurated the Baro Inland Water Port and addressed APC presidential campaign rally all in Minna, Niger.
