- Man United will reportedly not accept bids for their players from rival clubs
- Arsenal were said to be eyeing a move for United defender Eric Bailly
- However, the Red Devils have turned down the move
Manchester United are said to have rejected Arsenal's loan bid for star defender Eric Bailly until the end of the season.
Arsenal have been in the market in desperate search for defensive reinforcements after Rob Holding sustained a horrific injury that has sidelined him from action.
Gunners' boss, Unai Emery, had already made it clear the club will only be seeking loan deals owing to Arsenal's financial crisis.
As such, a loan move for Bailly seemed possible as he was being eyed as a potential replacement for Holding in the heart of Arsenal's defense.
However, the move has been dealt with a massive blow after United reportedly saying they will not be accepting bids for their players from rival clubs, especially those in the top-four.
Bailly's deal with United is set to end in the summer of 2020, with the Old Trafford outfit said to be waiting for the hiring of a permanent manager before considering a new contract for the Ivorian defender.
The former Valencia defender has endured frustrating times at Old Trafford after failing to nail a starting place in former manager Jose Mourinho's line-up.
He came under sharp criticism from interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he picked up a red-card in United's 4-1 victory over Bournemouth back in December after a rash challenge.
"Eric knows he should have stayed on his feet," Solskjaer told MUTV after the final whistle.

"Stay on your feet as a centre-back. You should never ever almost have any dirt on your shorts as a centre-back if you read the game. Paolo Maldini would have stayed on his feet. So Eric knows," he added.
Equally, the Norwegian tactician favours a centre-back partnership of Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones.
SunSport quoting Daily Star reveals that the north London clubs want the 24-year-old Ivorian, but Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino appears more ready to swoop for the center-back.
Bailly joined Manchester United in a £30m deal from Spanish side Villarreal two seasons ago but reportedly is no longer a favourite under club boss Jose Mourinho.
