Senator Shehu Sani has advised the current administration against probing a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
The senator representing Kaduna central senatorial district in the National Assembly in a tweet on Tuesday, January 22, suggested that any move to probe the former president might have dire consequences on the current regime because some officials serving in the current administration had served under the Obasanjo regime.
"If you decide to open and probe the kitchen and the food store left by Obj (Obasanjo) because of his bitter leaf letters, you will see the names of many people on your dining table today,” Sani said.
“The table manners and the cutlery they used for his (Obasanjo’s) spaghetti is the same they are using for your noodles."
Meanwhile, the national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the alleged mismanagement carried out by ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo, when he ruled the country.
Oshiomhole made the request when he spoke in Damaturu, Yobe state, during the APC presidential campaign, Daily Trust reports.
The APC national chairman accused Obasanjo of bribing members of the National Assembly with millions of naira during his tenure.
