Chief Eugene Odo, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), says members of Enugu state chapter of the party will turnout en mass for the party’s presidential rally to hold in the state on January 24, 2019.
Odo, a former speaker of Enugu state House of Assembly, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, January 22, in Enugu that members of the party had agreed to bury their differences to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari was given a grand reception.
According to Senator Ken Nnamani, vice-president Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, January 24 has been fixed for President Buhari’s campaign rally in Enugu tate.
He said that the grand campaign rally would hold at the 22,000 seat-capacity main bowl of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, also known as `The Cathedral’.
Odo told NAN that the stadium would be filled to its capacity with APC faithful and supporters beyond the number of people ever witnessed in it before.
According to him, unprecedented crowd of party faithful will be mobilised for the Buhari/Osinbajo presidential campaign rally.
He said: “There is going to be mammoth crowd not just members of the APC but the entire Enugu state to herald his (mr President) visit.
“With this, Mr President will know that Enugu state is very ‘very’ prepared for this election from the Presidency down to the state house of assembly.
“Enugu state indigenes will come out en mass and welcome Mr President and welcome our candidates at all levels, as they are going to participate fully in this very event.''
Odo, who is also the APC Enugu-north senatorial candidate, expressed optimism that the rally would surely culminate into an overwhelming success of the party in the state in the forthcoming elections.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the senator representing Anambra south, Andy Ubah, had expressed optimism on President Muhammadu Buhari's victory in the February 16 election, promising to mobilise the people of the state for the re-election of the president.
Ubah, who is also the coordinator of President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Council, stated this during a courtesy visit to his ward, Uga ward one, in Aguata local government area of Anambra state.
