APC youth target 20 million votes for President Buhari, Osinbajo

Dr. Tony Nwoye, the directorate of youth mobilisation of the APC presidential campaign council will on Tuesday, January 22, kick-start a national campaign to deliver 20 million votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Daily Trust reports.

The director of youth mobilisation addressing journalists, on Monday, January 21, in Abuja, said they agreed to pursue the target after getting the solid commitments of President Buhari to take youth development to the “Next Level” if re-elected.

The former Enugu APC governorship candidate, who spoke alongside the APC national youth leader, Comrade Sadiq Abubakar, said the nationwide youth mobilisation campaign was targeted at convincing Nigerian youth and students on the need to continue to trust the Buhari and Osinbajo presidency.

He called on the Nigerian youths and students to remain steadfast in their resolve and support for Buhari-Osinbajo 2019 despite concerted attempt by some would-be-detractors to blackmail them with sentiments that has no grounding in our national reality.

In a related development, Nwoye said President Buhari has already won the forthcoming presidential election. He said Nigerians are only waiting for official results confirming the president's victory.

According to Nwoye, the ongoing war against corruption is one of President Buhari's achievements since coming to power in 2015.

In another report by Legit.ng, Nwoye said youths will be heads of ministries and prastatals if Buhari is re-elected.

Nwoye stated this on Monday, January 21, in Abuja at a news conference to launch a nationwide campaign for Buhari’s re-election in Abuja.
